In light of recent public health announcements from Alberta Health regarding new measures and actions to mitigate risks associated with the COVID-19 virus, we are cancelling the IMSA Canadian Prairie Section (CPS) Annual Trade Show and Conference, inclusive of training courses, that had been scheduled to occur March 30 – April 3, 2020. The IMSA CPS Board members will utilize updated information provided by Alberta Health and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health to inform on any potential of rescheduling the Conference and Trade Show to a later date in 2020; however, at this time there are no definitive dates or plans.
The health and safety of our members, stakeholders and our industry community is our highest priority. Alberta Health is advising that:
“Alberta is asking organizers to cancel any events that have more than 250 attendees. This includes large sporting events, conferences and community events. It does not extend to places of worship, grocery stores, airports or shopping centres.”
“Any event that has more than 50 attendees and expects to have international participants, or involves critical infrastructure staff, seniors, or other high-risk populations should also be cancelled.”

For those who have made payments through the registration process or have paid their invoices, a full refund will be issued. Outstanding invoices will also be cancelled.
